Gaia

In Greek mythology, Gaia was the first deity from whom all others sprang.  The personification of earth; absolute control and manipulation over rocks, the sea, the sky and plants of the world.  The mother of all life and gave birth to the Titans and raised the god Zeus in secret.  

Her journey is hidden in the depths of our world, trying to correct, trying to balance.  The journey is many fold, across different divides gently undulating across my panels of life.  I depict the beauty, the turmoil, the unknown, its complexity.

The Gaia principle was formed in the 1970's; all organisms interact with earth in a complex system that perpetuates the conditions for life on our planet.  The earth journey is a turbulent one; our part of that journey, much of it unseen and unheard until it is too late, is an important one.  Where are you on the Gaia journey?
